Color Club Kaleidoscope: Abyss & Bright Night

Press Sample.
Hola!

Color Club has a new collection out for summer, called Kaleidoscope. The Kaleidoscope Collection consists of 6 polishes ranging from soft airy pastels to bright and vivid cremes and a shimmery top coat. Today I have two polishes from the collection to show you, aren't you lucky?!

Abyss is a blue leaning teal green cream. Such a pretty color, and really nice for summer. Formula was great, shown is two coats. This dried to a semi matte finish, so I applied a top coat for a high gloss finish.

Bright Night is an intense cobalt blue creme. This is such a huge color right now, so obviously I am loving Bright Night. This applied really nicely, shown is two coats, and like Abyss, it dried semi matte so I added a top coat for a super shiny look.

So what do you think about these two? Are you into vivid blues like Bright Night, or is Abyss more your speed?

The Kaleidoscope Collection is available now on shopcolorclub.com and retails for $8 each.

Products provided for review.

Deborah Lippmann - Mermaid's Dream

Hi!

Yay for it being Thursday! Today I'm showing you Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream, again. I showed this on my blog last year when it first came out, but since then my pictures have VASTLY improved, and the matte glitter / textured finish has totally blown up, so I brought it out to play again.

Mermaid's Dream is a seafoam base packed with gold glitter and blue hex glitter that dries to a bumpy matte finish, and is just totally awesome. I remember when I first wore this I tried to top coat it so it would dry smooth and shiny, but now I am so loving the finish.

Eeeeep yep, I'm so glad I decided to break this out again. This makes me want all of the new Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Collection.. but I can't, I must practice will power, I have a wedding to save for, people! :D

Do you own the original DL 'Mermaid'? Have you picked up any of the new Mermaids? If you have no idea what I am talking about.. check out this post from Michelle at All Lacquered Up!

Nail Art Inspired by My Pants!

Hello!

Today's post is inspired by a pair of pants that I have. Yes, pants. I wore these pants to work last week and everyone loved them. They are bright red with tiny navy blue flowery dots on them. All day I was thinking to myself that the pattern would be so easy to replicate on my nails, so when I got home, I gave it a whirl!

For this look I used OPI Red Lights Ahead..Where? for the red base, and used a dotting tool and OPI Roadhouse Blues for the flowery dots.

I'm pretty pleased with how this look came out! I mean, everyone has to start with nail art somewhere, right?  So for a beginner, it's not too bad! What do you think?

Ninja Polish - Mystic Glacier (!!!!!!!!!)

Hi!

Woah girl do I have something to show you today. First of all, are you familiar with Ninja Polish? If not, it is an online e-tailer that sells mostly indies, and they recently started making their own line of nail polish. Ninja Polish came out with Divinity a few months ago, that swept me off my feet, and now they have released four more polishes so their line. Today I'm showing you Mystic Glacier.

I love how Ninja Polish describes this 'As though the northern lights were lured in and seized by the ice, the soft array of magical colors that are captured in this polish are spectacular. Mystic Glacier gives you an array of color shifting multichromatic colors with a soft, ice blue base.'

I tried to take photos under different lighting so you could see the color shift. It is constantly changing and warping under different lighting and angles. This is truly one of the most unique polishes I have seen in quite some time.
Formula was a bit thin, but it covered nicely in three thin coats.

I'm HEAD over HEELS for Mystic Glacier! This is currently sold out on the Ninja Polish site, but you can sign up to be notified via email when it is back in stock. :)
