Zoya Jules & a love story!

Hi there!

It's late again, I know! This semester is going to get busier and busier from here on out for me. But in about 37 days I will be a college grad and be getting thrown out into the real world (woo!) Tomorrow is my 1 year anniversary with my boyfriend, which is pretty exciting :D

We met at a bar a year ago when my friend was too drunk to get in, so I kindly told the owner that if he didn't let my friend in I would have to walk home alone, long story short- we were let in, and immediately after that my friend went straight to the bar after promising not to drink the rest of the night, and got kicked out. If it had not been for his stupidity, I would not have been at the bar alone, forced to find someone else I knew, luckily my friend Lance was there, and with him was Joel (my boyfriend) I introduced myself and the rest is history! :)

Here is Joel and I.. how cute are we? :D

So that is that- and on my nails today is Zoya Jules! What a gorgeous color, a gold that is so sparkly and shimmery, I love it. It is a neutral work appropriate shade with a kick. Check it out!

How pretty! Also make sure to check out Ulta.com whenever you get a chance, all of the Ulta brand nail polish is on sale, I got 6 polishes for only $15 including shipping!

Thanks for reading!

e.l.f. Fire Coral

Hey everyone,

I'm getting a late start on posting today, my day was super hectic and I haven't gotten a chance to do so until right now! Today/tonight I am showing you an e.l.f. polish that I got in a set at Target for $4.99. This color came in a set of 5, and was titled "Ready for Spring" or something like that. The name of this color is "Fire Coral" it is an intensely bright coral, like the name says, with an orange undertone.

This was 3 coats of Fire Coral with a top coat of Seche Vite.. SO BRIGHT!

This polish has kind of a jelly finish. It took awhile to dry but overall this is a great color for summer, and I think it will look even better with a tan! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by,

One of my favorite purples.. EVER!

Hi there!

I feel like all I do is show Zoya colors on my blog.. I'm sorry if you're getting sick of them! I know you have probably seen all of these colors before.. but.. they're just so pretty, so you can see them again :D Today I am showing you Zoya Dannii, and wow, it is bold of me to say that this is one of my favorite purples ever but it's so true. Application was smooth and opaque in two coats with a top coat of SV. Check her out, a medium lilac purple with gold shimmer.. what's not to love?

I love this so much, and I've been having to photograph my right hand lately because my left hand's cuticles are rough right now.. but I'm nurturing them back to health :)

Thank you for reading, and I promise I will have more brands to show you coming in the future, along with swatches of my new Zoyas!

Zoya Marley :)

Hello again!

Here is Zoya Marley, what a lovely pale lavender color. This went on perfectly, as all of my other Zoyas have before, so this was no surprise.  What you see here is three coats, then I wrapped my nail tip with a regular top coat and finished it off with SV. I saw on the Zoya Facebook page that someone posted if you wrap the nail with a regular top coat it will prevent chipping, and it did! Magical :D

Breezi, Mira, Kieko, Faye, Apple and Rica
I can't wait to try all of them!

Thank you for stopping by :D

Look what came today!!!!

Hey girl heyyyy!

I had an hour after class before I had to go to work, so I grabbed some lunch, went to see my boyfriend, and went home quick to change (and check the mail.. hehehe) LOOK WHAT WAS WAITING FOR ME ON MY PORCH! Oh yes, those are my pretty Summer Zoya colors that I will share with you later :D I was able to snap this picture quick before I ran out the door to work, where here I am, anticipating 4 pm when I can go home and look at these more closely!

Wooo! I love new polish :D Also has anyone ever tried Huemorista nail polish? I'm thinking about placing an order but I want to know if anyone has tried it before- Huemorista is a one woman polish shop on Etsy who sells packs of 3 for $12 and they're all her original colors, and some of them are totally gorgeous! Her site can be found here!

Well that's all for now, I will be showing you Zoya Marley later :D Enjoy your afternoon!!

Zoya Caitlin!

Hello all!

Yesterday I was on a wine tour in upstate New York. We went to 6 different wineries along Kueka Lake. I discovered that I'm a sweet wine type of girl, but not too sweet! :D That is why I didn't post yesterday, we left at 6:30 am and got back around 8:30 pm. SUCH a long day, but totally worth it, my twin and I had a great time.
Abby and I on the bus :D
 Beautiful view of the Lake!

Today I am paying for the awesome time I had yesterday/last night. I went over to my friend's apartment last night and drank.. again. Have you ever been drunk two times in one day? It's quite an experience.. As a senior in college you may wonder why I haven't done that before.. I really don't know why, but I know now that I never want to do it again.. haha!

ANWAYSSSS.. enough about me and my drunken self. Here is what you are probably waiting for, oh yes, whats on my nails today

Here I have 2 coats of Zoya Caitlin and a coat of China Glaze Fairy Dust.. oooooh! :)

This was a day after I did them, so there is some tipwear, but overall I really like this color, I wasn't as excited for this one as I was for the other Intimate colors, but I like this one the most so far! Tomorrow I will be showing you Marley :D Also-  my Zoya Summer BOGO colors will be here on Tuesday! Wooo! Can't wait to show you them!

work all day = more blogging

My rant begins here, so precede with caution!

I have been at work since 2 pm, which has only been 2 hours and 20 minutes, big deal I know.. but I am here until 10:30 tonight, AND I was in class from 8 to 12. Rouuuuugggghhh. So that's like, a 14.5 hour day. Mmmmhm. Anyway I have to keep myself entertained somehow, and since I am not allowed to paint my nails at work (well.. no one ever said I CAN'T.. but I better not). This leaves me nothing to do but kill some time with another post until my sister gets here and I have some social interaction.. YAY!

I am going to show you one of my favorite 'blurples' a cross between blue and purple, and totes gorg!
Here is Misa- Throw Me Something Purple Please
This was one coat, I repeat ONE COAT!

Let me just tell you how much I loveeee Misa polishes. I only have two but the two I have are pure perfection. The formula is on point, and I can't wait to get more! I am currently planning out my next Head2Toe purchase where I am going to buy a lot more, especially from their new Spring collections, Wishes and 9 to 5. I just want all of them! It's a problem, I know.

Who loves blurple colors like these? Also what are your favorite Misa polishes that I have to check out?

Thanks for reading!

Zoya Dove

Hey Everyone!

Today I have to show you Zoya Dove from the Spring 2011 Intimate Collection. It was so hard for me to decide which color to try first because they are all totally gorgeous. So I closed my eyes, mixed them up on my bed and chose on at random, and that ended up being Dove!

This went on perfectly in two coats over a base of Seche Rebuild and a top coat of SV. Dove fit yesterday perfectly too, it was a rainy and cloudy day.. so this color went well with the weather and my mood :D

Next up I will be showing you Zoya Gemma, when my boyfriend saw my new colors he immediately picked up Gemma and "ohhed ahhed" over her, so I figured I'd make her next!

Thanks for reading everyone, it's almost Friday!!! wooo!

Barielle Grape Escape & a hint of Zoya!

Hey there!

Today started out with me getting woken up by my doorbell. It rang once, I pretended not to hear it.. it rang again, I got out of bed and looked outside to see if it was anyone important, I then saw a mail truck and sprinted downstairs hoping that I didn't miss him! Whew, I didn't, however keep in mind I literally JUST got out of bed, I looked good I'm sure. Well luckily he was holding my new Zoyas, or else I would have been mad that I got out of bed for nothing. My Intimate collection finally made it's way to me.. I then ripped open the box and gazed at my new beauties.

So anyway, that was the start of my day! I will be posting pictures of the colors as I wear them, which I'm sure you have seen them all a thousand times, but you haven't seen them on MY nails :D In other good news, my Zoya BOGO order shipped today.. wooo! Lucky me!

Whew! Today I am going to show you Barielle-Grape Escape with a hint of Zoya Mimi.

I used scotch tape to make the diagonal line and it turned out pretty well! My favorite color in the whoooooleee world is purple, so I am a major fan of this combo, what do you think? :)

This was a base of Seche Rebuild, two coats of Grape Escape and a SV top coat. I took this off today though to try out Zoya-Dove (which I'll show you tomorrow!!)

Thank you for reading everyone, and enjoy the rest of your day!

Oldie but goodie.. Urban Decay -Bruise

Hey everyone,

I'm currently taking a break from studying, I have a midterm tomorrow that I'm totally stressing out over. But the light at the end of the tunnel is that I graduate in 6 weeks.. SIX! Yes, I can do anything in 6 weeks, and it will probably fly by because I have so much work to do between now and then. Anyway yesterday I did some swatching and picked out one of my favorite purple/green duochromes, Urban Decay- Bruise. I got this baby on e-bay for around $6 which is quite the deal, it is a discontinued shade from Urban Decay and totally gorgeous! Check it out :D

OoOoOoOoOh! Look at her! This shade is always changing depending on the lighting, and I love it. The only downside is that it didn't wear very well. I had peeling and chipping within 1 day, which is okay with me because I usually change my polish every other day, and the formula is kind of old, so I'll cut it some slack!

So this was three coats with no base or top coat, and I apologize for the shape my cuticles are in.. one more reason why I can't wait for spring! I've had enough of this cold, dry weather :D

Thanks for reading everyone. Enjoy your Tuesday!

SH Commander in Chic and OPI Sparkle-icious

Hey everyone and welcome new readers!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday! Let's start with my "90's" outfit last night. My outfit pretty much consisted of things that I never really get a chance to wear, so the theme party was my excuse to get out my floral print leggings and sequin hat.

I'm not really sure exactly how 90's it is... but I rocked it anyway.

After a few days of Dive Bar, which wore pretty well, I decided to change it up and put on a more neutral shade so I chose Sally Hansen Commander in Chic from the Complete Salon Manicure line. After I was done applying I looked down at my nails and was bored with them, so I was thinking of ways to make it not so boring and got out OPI Sparkle-icious from the Burlesque Holiday 2010 collection. This is my first time using Sparkle-icious and I think it works really well over CIC to add a little bling to my otherwise boring nails. I'll let you be the judge :D

What do you think of this? Do you ever rock the accent nail? If so what is your favorite combo?

Well thats all for now, enjoy the rest of your day and thank you for reading!

essie - Dive Bar & Dotting tools!

Hey there!

Today I'm wearing essie - Dive Bar exclusively from their new retail line. I found this at my local Wal Mart and in the weird lighting it looked like there were purple undertones to it which kind of hide on the nail, unless the lighting is weirdly low.. I guess like Wal Mart's. Anyway this is still a great color and I'm glad I purchased it. The formula was pretty good, the first coat was streaky but with a second coat it was smooth and opaque.

What do you think?

Tonight I am going to a "90's Party" and as a child of the 90's I am very excited! I LOVE THE 90's! It's a costume party so I'm wearing these obnoxious floral print leggings, a white t shirt, crimped hair, and a denim over shirt type thing. Yeah it should be a good time =) I'll post pics for sure!

Also I got exciting things in the mail today, I have been ninja stalking my mailbox for the last week patiently awaiting my Zoya Intimite collection from their last promo, an amazon order AND BornPretty 2 way dotting tools set. The dotting tools finally arrived this morning, the shipping was pretty fast from BornPretty, considering they only took about a week to get to me from Singapore!

Do you have these dotting tools, or anything like it? If so what kind of designs do you do? I need some ideas!!

Can't wait to try them out! As always, thank you for reading :D

Misa - It's You!

Hello Dear Readers!

I am at work right now where I sit in a game room on campus and "make sure people follow the rules" of the game room.. yeah I basically sit here and do absolutely nothing..and get paid for it : D I have about 87921 things I could  be working on for school, but what fun is that?

I accidentally deleted all the pictures I have of essie- Dive Bar on my computer, of course, so I'll have to take more later. But I found my swatches of Misa- It's You! that I never wrote about, so I thought  I would share this beauty with you.

How great is this? It's a blackened greyed out green, if thats possible, with the tiniest flash of pink that is only seen in certain lighting. I got this from head2toe and I am so glad that I did, the coverage was amazing, and almost completely opaque in 1 coat, but I did two just for good measure.

Only 37 more minutes of work.. and weekend here I come! WOOOOO!

Thanks for reading!

Happy St. Paddy's Day !

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.. a beautiful day for a neighbor.. would you be mine?
Oh hi there! I am writing from SUNNY Lock Haven today, sadly at work, but nonetheless, it is incredibly beautiful out and I love it! It is just one of those days, where I'm so happy to be alive and enjoying this day. Anyway! As I'm sure you're very aware, yesterday was St. Patrick's Day, so I did my nails in a festive green- Zoya Ivanka.

So pretty! I hated to take it off. But tomorrow, or maybe later tonight if I find time, I have to show you essie - Dive Bar, its from the retail line and she's a beauty!

Well thank you for reading, and I hope the sun is shining wherever you may be!

Essie Lapis of Luxury.. ready for SPRING!

Hi there, and Happy Pi Day!

I am incredibly ready for spring, more ready than I can ever remember being, probably because this winter was like living in a tundra and the snow NEVER stopped! But anyway I was looking in my stash for a spring-y color and stumbled upon one of my favorites, Essie Lapis of Luxury.
As a little girl I was obsessed with all thing princess, wait, let's be honest- I still am. Cinderella is my all time favorite movie (with Up as a close second!) and this blue reminds me of her dress, it's so perfect.

Shown is a base of Seche Rebuild, three thin coats of Lapis of Luxury with Seche Vite top coat.

Lovely!
So, I am obsessed with lotion, just a little FYI, and my mom got some of this "Shea Cashmere Hand Cream" from Bath and Body Works a few weeks ago, when I tried some of hers I fell in love, this stuff is amazing. So while I was at the mall with my boyfriend this weekend we stopped in and because they were running a special deal I got 2 for FREE! So I got Secret Wonderland and Twilight Woods, and they are both incredible. This stuff literally leaves my hands feeling like silk, and it works great on elbows too!

So with St. Patrick's Day coming up this week does anyone have any good ideas for cute green manicures?

Have a nice Monday, and thanks for reading!

Gentle Blossom & Hidden Treasure

Hola!

Today I am posting again, wow two posts in one day.. I know, unheard of! But I found this Sally Hansen Miracle Growth nail polish at K-Mart the other day, I know.. who goes to K-Mart, but I had been searching for this color for a few weeks and everywhere I went was sold out of it, and I got the last bottle at K-Mart! Lucky me.

So here it is, Gentle Blossom with my favorite, Hidden Treasure as a glittery top coat. (Which I want to add I had been searching for Hidden Treasure for the longest time and my boyfriend surprised me with it over the summer. Hey Joel.. you're a keeper =] ) but I saw this look on another website and totally HAD to try it out.

Gentle Blossom is a mint creme that has a really fine shimmer in it, which is totally gorgeous and it was opaque in 3 coats. I am a typical 3 coater anyway so that didn't bother me. Drying time was pretty good as well. So this is Seche Rebuild as a base coat, 3 coats of Gentle Blossom, a coat of Hidden Treasure and Seche Vite to top it off!

HOW BEAUTIFUL IS THIS?!?

I know my picture isn't the best, but the sun hasn't been cooperating too well lately! ALSO, did anyone take place in the Zoya Intimate collection for $25 yesterday WITH free shipping?? I totally did, I have had my eye on Dannii, Gemma and Marley so I actually saved money by getting the other three too, with free shipping. I am so excited to get this collection, and add Zoya on Facebook to keep updated on their promos. Word on the street is there will be a HUGE promo coming up in the next two weeks!!!

Sally Hansen x-treme wear Lacey Lilac

Hey everyone,

I don't really have much time for lengthy entries lately, which is why I haven't posted anything in about a month (sorry!) but I'm just going to post pictures now, until I find more time to write more about products.

Here is Sally Hansen X-treme Wear in Lacy Lilac with Jessie's Girl Confetti as an accent nail :)

I loved this manicure and hated to take it off, I hope you like it!

This was a base coat with two coats of Lacy Lilac, and two coats of Confetti on my ring finger and a coat of Seche Vite.
