OPI - What's With the Cattitute? & Glitter & Shatter !

Hi everyone!

I took my first final this morning.. woo hoo! One down, two to go! So in celebration of this last final, I did my nails one of my favorite pastel blues, and what probably got me hooked on my pastel blue addiction! OPI - What's With the Cattitude from the Shrek Forever collection.

After I applied WWTC I wanted some bling.. so I applied Revlon - Galaxy, which I'm kind of 'meh' about. When I got it the bottle looked AMAZING, but on the nail it just looks weird. There are hex holographic glitter bits, but they are few and far between. Check it out-

So after applying this, I wanted to change it because I really didn't like how it looked, but I didn't have time to start a full new mani.. which is where my good friend Black Shatter comes in :D

What do you think? I am really like Black Shatter and absolutely positively NEED to get my hands on the new Silver Shatter.. oh the wheels are turning with things that I could do with Silver Shatter!

My maiden voyage with Sinful Colors!

Hello there!

I hope everyone had a great Thursday, where I live it was a beautiful day, 80 and sunny.. what more could I ask for!? Today I am showing you the first color that I have ever tried of Sinful Colors. Last weekend I went shopping with my boyfriend and we stopped into target and I noticed a Sinful Colors display.. and they were only $1.99.. so of course I had to try one!

I picked up Mint Apple. At first when I saw it, I thought it was just a plain minty green cream, but boy was I wrong, there is a hidden shimmer in this that is totally gorgeous and sets it apart from all the other mint greens that are out there. My picture isn't the best, but I think you'll be able to get the idea!

Ohhhh my.. just seeing this picture makes me want to wear Mint Apple again. These types of colors are right up my alley, a cool toned mint, blue or purple and count me in, add shimmer and thats a TOTALLY different story.. I'm hooked. :D

I wish I would have picked up more Sinful Colors especially because this baby only required two coats for full opacity, and for $1.99 I'd like to get my hands on a few more!

Which ones do you suggest that I pick up next time I'm at Target?

OPI - Suzi Loves Cowboys

Hi there!

So I have recently joined MUA and had my first swap last week.. how exciting! In my first swap I got OPI - Suzi Loves Cowboys from their Spring 2011 Texas Collection. I had been wanting this creamy brown ever since I saw swatches and regretted not picking it up.

I am so happy with this brown, it is straight up brown, no red blue or black undertones, just straight up brown and it is a great staple for any collection and it went on perfectly in three coats. So check it out!

How pretty? I wore this for three days which is kind of long for me, I just love  it so much. It's classic yet edgy. What are your thoughts on this 'straight up brown' ?

Nicole by OPI- One Less Lonely Glitter

Yessss I know what you're thinking... the Biebs.. But for what it's worth, this glitter was way too gorgeous to pass up! I just couldn't do it! So don't blame me =]

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, Justin Bieber released a nail polish collection through Nicole by OPI available at Walmart and Target.. and I'm sure a few other places too. But I have managed to not pick up any from this collection, mostly because it disturbed me that Justin Bieber created a nail polish line.... but whatever, I finally gave in and needless to say I am not disappointed.

This is called One Less Lonely Girl Glitter..

I'm in love! This is a full on glitter party with small hex glitter, just look at it! This photo was taken a day after I applied, so there is visable tip wear, which I always seem to get with glitter polish.. does anyone have any tips to avoid this??

Thoughts on One Less Lonely Glitter? I think I am going to have to pick up a few more from this line (especially Make U Smile) and just pretend that Justin Bieber had nothing to do with them.. hahah

Thanks for stopping by everyone!

Orly - Lunar Eclipse

Hello everyone!

Tonight I am posting really quick to show you one of my favorite blue polishes - Orly - Lunar Eclipse. I got this beauty right after the Cosmic FX collection came out, I had been stalking Ulta's and Sally's everywhere I came across one looking for this and Space Cadet and then finally the collection became available online at Ulta. So anywho, check this out!

This is three coats of Lunar Eclipse with a top coat of SV. You can't see in these pictures but this is a gorgeous purple and blue duochrome polish and it looks different every time I look at it!

Did any of you pick up anything from the Cosmic FX collection?? Did they live up to the hype for you?

Thanks for stopping by!

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Insouciant

I'm back!

Whew it's been a busy week! Today I an showing you the absolutely beautiful Insouciant from RBL. I saved this pretty girl for my "block dinner" which was on Wednesday. A dinner was arranged by a few people in my class, it was nice, everyone dressed up and got superlative awards, my award...get ready for it.....

"Most dedicated to her school work"

HOW BORING?!? compared to some awards like "Most likely to be hungover in class" "Most likely to cause the most controversy on the Real World" "Best Dressed" the list goes on, and I got "Most dedicated to her school work" Hahaha, oh well at least my parents are proud of me :D

Anyway! Here is the reason why you are reading this anyway - RBL Insouciant from the Spring Iconic/Ironic Collection! Ji Baek is an absolute genius, everything about RBL is perfection, too bad they are spency! ($18/bottle)

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you see that light blue microshimmer??? Breathtaking. This was two amazingly smooth coats and a top coat of SV. I. Love. It. What do you think of Insouciant? Is it worth the price for you? When I wear polishes like this they make me feel so special. They are so unique and to me, very well worth it.

Thanks for stopping by! Here is a picture of me and the BF before the block dinner :D

OPI - Color So Hot it Berns

Good afternoon!

Today I am showing you a classic bright red from OPI's Fall 2010 Swiss Collection 'Color so hot it Berns'. I absolutely love this color, it is so bright and makes me feel so happy! My camera freaks out with reds, and all the pics I took kept coming out way too orange, so I decided to do something different, you'll see!

Whaddayathink of this HOT red?! This was three coats of CSHIB because with two I could still see my nail line, and with three it was totes perf. I'm not usually a red girl, when there are so many other colors to wear, I don't waste my time with reds, but this one has me wrapped, I love it.

PS- 18 days til I am a college grad... woooo! :D

I jumped on the Black Shatter bandwagon!

Hellllooo!

Yes it's true, I jumped on the OPI Black Shatter bandwagon. Let me just say, I definitely didn't think I was going to love it as much as I do.. but it's SO FUN! I remember having Cover Girl Crackle nail polish when I was little, it was blue and I loved it, so Black Shatter is kinda throwback for me, but it's great. As soon as this came in the mail (I ordered it on e-bay for about $9) I tried it out over Faye which I had been wearing for a few days, and instantly I was impressed. I started thinking about all the fun combos I could create!

My first creation; Zoya Mira, Models Own Disco Mix and BLACK SHATTER!!! Check it out :D

Oooooooooh! Needless to say, I love Black Shatter and I am so glad I bought it! What do you guys think of Black Shatter, do you have the China Glaze ones? How does the OPI shatter compare to the CG crackles??

OPI Simmer & Shimmer

Greetings!

So today I went shopping with my sister, which is always a fun adventure, our first stop was the salon at JCPenney because I was looking for OPI I Juggle...Men from their new soft shades collection for this spring; unfortunately they don't have that collection yet, but I found something better! The last Simmer & Shimmer glitter from the Burlesque Holiday 2010 collection! I had been going back and forth about purchasing the glitters for quite some time, I bought Sparkle-icious, and really liked Simmer & Shimmer but I hate hate hate glitter removal.

When I saw that this was the last one left, AND on sale for $4.25, I knew it was meant to be. This beautiful multidimensional blue glitter had to be mine, and I am so glad she is! Take a look!

And a blurry pick just for kicks. I am completely smitten with this purchase and I am very happy that this gorge-y glitter is finally mine after months of deliberation, and for a good deal too!

Thanks for reading, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I'M IN LOVE! With the amazing gold sparkle and mauve-y goodness. AH! This is totally unique to anything else I own, and I am totally loving it :D

What are your favorite colors from the Zoya Summer collections? I know these collections were pretty hit or miss with some people, but they were a hit with me!

Thank you for reading, and enjoy your weekend!

Borghese - Stellare Notte

Hi there!

I am getting a late start tonight, and that's an understatement! I have two tests tomorrow that I have been trying to study for most of the day, and yada yada yada here I am, it's almost TOMORROW and I'm finally making my post for TODAY! I am going to show you Borghese - Stellare Notte that I picked up at Ulta last weekend, I apologize for the terrible picture. This was taken after a few days so there is visible tipwear, but it is a gorgeous shade. It is almost duochrome-y flashing green, grey, blue and purple.. I just wish my camera could have captured it better!

Lovely!! Tomorrow I will be showing you Zoya - Faye. I don't know why I have waited so long to try Faye out, I'm sure you have seen her before on other blogs but WHAT a beauty!! I am really looking forward to Zoya's newest secret that is soon to be released on their Facebook / Blog page. So be sure to check back there often to hear about the newest promo.. it's a good one!!! :D

Ulta LBD & Heirhead

Hi everyone!

Today I am showing you two Ulta polishes that I got last week, they are Little Black Dress and Heirhead. Heirhead is one of their new colors for Spring/Summer which is a pretty bubblegum pink but the application was horrible.. I applied 4 coats and there were still some visible patches. LBD was much better though, a black with pretty multi colored shimmer.

Here they are!

What do you think? Its hard to see the multi colored sparkle in LBD but it's there, I promise!

Sea Spray + White Cap!!!!

Hi again!

If you read earlier today you would see that I posted China Glaze - Sea Spray and said that I wanted to layer White Cap over it. Well this picture could not wait until tomorrow. White Cap is so gorgeous, I was unable to capture the total beauty of it, but I'll let you take a peek at what I did capture, and that is total sparkle-party-gorgeous-ness!

White Cap added warmth to the cool toned blue of Sea Spray and gave it a totally different look. Ahhh I am in LOVE!

If you have WC what have you layered it over? What do you think would be a good combo? Let me know because I can't wait to play with White Cap more!!

China Glaze - Sea Spray

Good Afternoon!

Today I am showing you China Glaze - Sea Spray from their Spril 2011 Anchors Away collection. I had convinced myself that I NEEDED this one and that it was different from OPI I Vant to be A-Lone Star, and lucky for me, it is :D I'll post a comparison picture tomorrow. But I am a sucker for anything blue, so I picked this beauty up last weekend while visiting my boyfriend's parents in New York!

Along with this I got White Cap and Borghese - Stellar Notte which is said to be hard to find, and now I understand why, its totally unique and gorgeous, I'll post pics I promise :D

I'm sure you have seen Sea Spray before, and I absolutely love this grey/blue/slight shimmery color. It went on perfectly in two coats with a top coat of SV, and no shrinking either!!

I have been having a lot of breakage and ripping lately with my nails, so I decided to cut them down and even out the length on all of them, and hopefully they will grow out a bit healthier! But for now I have short little nubbins.. booooo! :(

So thoughts on Sea Spray?? I'm thinking White Cap would look totally gorg over top of this.. definitely trying that when I get home!

Those would be Insouciant and Iconoclast from the Rescue Beauty Lounge Spring Ironic/Iconic collection.. oh my I can't wait to try them! Is it weird that I am saving them for special occasions coming up? I am going to wear one for graduation and one for my Senior Block Dinner next week.. do any of you do that? Save an awesome polish for a special occasion, or is it just me? Haha well I will surely post pictures when I wear them!!

American Apparel - Berry

Hi there!

I am taking a quick break from working on a paper so I could show you a polish that I recently purchased in a blogsale. This is American Apparel Berry, this if my first AA polish, and I wanted to like it so much, but it just didn't work for me. Literally three hours after I applied it, it was chipping already and removal was awful! My fingers turned bright pink/red. Yikes! But here she is..

It's a nice color, the wear just sucks. Oh well!

BACK TO MY PAPER!

Oke-Doke Purple Nurple.. yes that's really the name!

Hi!

Today I am showing you a polish that I recently purchased in a blogsale. This is called Purple Nurple.. LOL! No joke! It's by the drugstore brand Oke-Doke that I personally have never seen before but I guess it is sold at Walgreen's and Rite Aid. I needed this polish because of the name, my boyfriend got a kick out of it too! So without further ado.. I give you, Purple Nurple

What you see here is two coats with a top coat of SV. I actually really liked this, its a dark violet purple with pink and gold glitter, I tried to capture the glitteryness of it but my camera wouldn't cooperate, I think the bottle picture gives you somewhat of an idea of what it looks like in the sun, very pretty!

So there it is, Purple Nurple.... what a name. Hahaha

OPI Austin-tatious Turquoise

Hi!

Is it Friday yet? Today I am showing you another color from the Spring 2011 OPI Texas collection. This one is called Austin-tatious Turquoise. I was pretty exited when I got this because in the bottle you can see flashes of pink, but on the nail that is hardly visible. The formula on this was extremely runny and in 4 coats it is still not opaque. When I wore this as a full mani I did wear it for 4 or 5 days though, because after it finally builds up, it's quite pretty :D

This is only 3 coats and you can see my nail line, but I'm a fan of anything blue/green/turquoise, so I still like it. What do you think?

OPI I Vant to be A-lone Star

Hola!

Today I am showing you OPI- I Vant to be A-lone Star from their Texas Spring 2011 collection. I picked this up back in February at Ulta when it first came out and I totally love her. She is the love child of China Glaze Pelican Gray and Sea Spray. A perfect mix of blue and grey, with shimmer! Check it out =)

This was two easy coats, and also you can probably see my little ring finger nail is a bit shorter... that casualty happened in class today.. Boo!! This weekend I am going home with the boy and we are going to ULTAAAA, let me just tell you that the closest Ulta to me is 1.5 hrs away, where he lives. So I always make an effort to go there when we're visiting :D

I hope everyone had a great Monday!

Zoya Kieko

Hi there!

Today I had to do a quick manicure before I came into work. I was going to go with Zoya Faye but I only had an hour so I decided against that because I heard drying time is a little long. Here is Zoya Kieko, how pretty! This is two smooth perfect coats of pretty perfection!

What do you think? I really like the color, it's unlike anything I own really. Its a perfect cross between purple and pink. Love it!
