Today I am showing you one of the polishes that I bought from the recent $5 Cult sale. This is Manipulative from the new Divas & Drama collection for Summer 2012. Maria said awhile back that she will be releasing a new collection EACH MONTH for like four months or something crazy like that! I'm not exactly sure if it is still the case, but I am pretty excited about it, however.. my bank account isn't, haha.
Anyway most of you probably know that since Cult Nails hit 5,000 likes on Facebook, they held a sale where all polishes and treatments were $5 (pretty sweet deal!) So check out one of the ones I got below!
Also, I am going to try to do this "matching" mani thing every Monday as a theme post, as you can see below my Manipulative mani matches the skirt I'm wearing, I thought it was cute! :D
Manipulative is a really pretty light blue toned aqua, to the normal passerby it looks like a creme, I didn't even know there was shimmer in it until I saw it close up, but you can see in the macro shot that there is indeed shimmer!
This is a super pretty polish, and the formula was great. I only needed two coats for the pictures above. I wore that as a full mani with Cult Nails Get it On base coat and Wicket Fast top coat, and I am extremely impressed by both of them so far!
Did you guys get anything during the $5 sale? If so, what did you pick up? Also- thoughts on my matching mani theme idea?

I had already gotten the Divas & Drama collection with the presale, so with the $5 sal I got Time Traveler, Enigmatic, and Captivating. Oops! I had already gotten Captivating with the presale. Somehow I noticed that I had picked up Vicious with the presale, but missed that I'd gotten Captivating. *sigh*. I held off on My Kind of Cool Aid and Quench, because she said they were likely to sell out, and there would be a follow up sale when they restocked... but Quench didn't sell out, so I hope they still include it.
ReplyDeleteOh, and I wan't super impressed with Wicked Fast like I thought I would be. I managed to mush the manicure by trying to dig something out of the laundry basket long after the polish would have been good and hard with Seche Vite. I'm still hoping it will turn out to be good to use with Zoya's, though, since I've heard that they don't play well with SV.
DeleteThis is gorgeous! I missed out on the sale, boooo! Oh well, not that I need any more nail polish... (Oh well, not that I'll stop buying them...!)
ReplyDeleteOh my!! This is one of my favourite colours, ever!! This looks amazing on you! :D
ReplyDeletereally kicking myself for not getting this in the sale! gorgeous
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty colour! I've been getting into colours like this lately! I bought quench in the sale!
ReplyDeleteLove the matching mani idea- looks great! I got Manipulative, Powerthief and Mind Control. I was disappointed with the formula(thick and difficult to get evened) of Manipulative and the shimmer wasn't as prominent as it appeared online. looks like a dustier version of ChG For Audrey, so not that unique in my collection. I am hoping for better results with the other 2.
