Rescue Beauty Lounge Fan Collection - Aqua Lily

Hi people!

Today I am showing you a polish that I have been excited about for a REALLY LONG TIME. Like... really. This is Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily from the Fan Collection. The Fan Collection process started over a year ago, fans submitted their dream nail polish colors to Ji Baek, she then chose 11 submissions that were voted on, the four winners were selected after 48 hours of voting, and from there, the dream polishes came to life.

This one is Aqua Lily, a gorgeous turquoise with pink shimmer. First, let's look at it in the bottle.

*Ahhhhhhhhhhhh... so pretty!* I literally squealed with excitement when I opened this, it's just so pretty! Now lets see some swatches.

Just like the bottle predicted, it's pretty on the nails too! My only complaint is that the pink shimmer is not as visible as you would think, it is definitely still there, but not as 'in your face' as I would like. But  it is still super gorgeous, don't get me wrong!

The formula on this one was perfect, as if I even needed to say it. Typical amazing RBL quality and an easy two coater. I wore this one for 4 days, which is unusual for me, I tend to switch my polish almost every day, but I couldn't bring myself to take this one off, it really does need to be seen in person to appreciate the uniqueness.

What do you guys think about Aqua Lily? Did you pick this up from the Fan Collection Pre Order? (I got Halcyon and IKB 2012 so you'll be seeing them soon too!) If you didn't get them during the pre order, don't fret! The collection will be available sometime this week to the public, and they ARE Limited Edition, and I feel like they will go fast, and once they're gone, they're gone forever, so don't miss your chance!

  1. That is a truly gorgeous polish! I believe turquoise is one of those colors you can't have enough of!

  2. I got all of them, but haven't worn any of them. I justified the high price by planning to use them as incentives to lose weight, so I have to earn them. My biggest problem is deciding which to work for first... if I start with my favorite, will I be able to get myself to keep working for the ones I like less? I'm thinking that I should save the best for last, but of course, I want to be able to wear the best soonest. So frustrating (and so is being sick, so that I can't really work on it, anyways, and seem to be backsliding... Argh!)

    1. Keep up the great work though, nail polish is such good incentive, especially when it's RBL! :)

  4. This is gorgeous! I wanted this entire collection, but I don't know if I'll break down and buy it or not... Especially since I'm planning on taking advantage of Zoya's earth day promotion later this afternoon! We'll see :)

  6. Leisel, I've done the exact same thing before (buying items as rewards for weight loss). What's worked best for me is wrapping everything up in wrapping paper so when I reach a benchmark I just choose a "present" and I have no way of knowing which one it will be!

  7. I got my Aqua Lily in today, and it is truly stunning!! It's the most beautiful shade of turquoise. I'm finding myself wishing I'd bought a backup with it, because now it's sold out...

    1. I can't wait to put IKB on either, I have been swatching up a storm, but that will be my next full mani. And thank you! :)

  9. Hi Lynn! I'm a first time visitor to your blog and am really enjoying your swatches and posts :) I'm so glad that you got a bottle of Aqua Lily and wore it for longer than norm! I debated on whether to ask Ji to add more of the fuchsia microshimmer, but ultimately liked how it was more of a creme with a hide-n-seek special sparkle. Ji really does those finishes well! Thanks for the lovely review :) -KDK
