As promised, today I am showing you Part II of the OPI Skyfall collection for Holiday 2012. This half of the collection is mostly blues, grays and greens. There is a little bit of everything here; we have shimmers, a glitter, one frost, so you're bound to find something that tickles your fancy!
On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a mix of blue, green and gold particles of shimmer which creates a gorgeous glass flecked finish. I think this one is just stunning! The base of this is mostly blue, so from a distance you will see blue, but when the light picks up the shimmer, this is sparkle city! Formula was a bit thin and required 3 coats for what you see here.
The World is Not Enough is a light brown glass flecked shimmer with bits of blue and gold flecks of glitter. This is so unique, I own nothing like it. Simply gorgeous! The formula on this was a bit thin, so I did need 3 coats, but dry time and application was a breeze.
Live and Let Die is a deep forest green with gold and green flecks of shimmer. SO pretty! Definitely my favorite in this half, it's just gorgeous. The formula is A+++, I barely needed a second coat. Perfect 'tree' green with a bit of sparkle. Love it!
Tomorrow Never Dies is a bright indigo blue that leans very purple, a 'blurple' if you will. Absolutely gorgeous! Reminds me of a more vivid version of Into The Night from the Spiderman Collection. This was insanely pigmented, and was perfect in 2 coats. Best part, for a metallic there are no brushstrokes! Yippee!
Moonraker is a frosty blue leaning gray. The formula on this was not the best, and the finish is not my favorite, but I do like the actual color of this, it is nice. However this does show EVERY imperfection on the nail, so you may want to double up on the base coat. This is 2 coats.
The Living Daylights is a mix of gold, orange, silver and teal large hex glitter in a clear base. This is a great layering polish, so I chose to show it with one coat layered over Moonraker and Live and Let Die. I didn't have any problems getting glitter on the nail, and with just one coat you get a nice touch of sparkle.
And that's all, folks! What do you think about the colors in this half of the collection? I really, really love Live and Let Die, it is just so insanely pigmented and delicious! Second runner up for me would be The World is Not Enough, because of it's uniqueness, but to be honest we have a ton of awesome colors in this collection. Which is your favorite? If you missed my post on Part I you can find it here.
These are available now and retail for $8.50 each.

DeleteI really like On Her Majesty's Secret Service, but I'm not very fond of three coaters.
ReplyDeleteGreat swatches, thanks!
I know what you mean about the 3 coats, but if it helps, OHMSS went on perfectly with no application issues
