Zoya Ornate Collection for Holiday 2012 Swatches & Review

Have you ever heard the saying 'ask and you shall receive'? That's exactly what Zoya has done for their Holiday collection this year. They listened to their readers and answered their requests!

I know that Zoya fans have been waiting for them to make holographic polishes for a long long time, and guess what people, the wait is over, they are finally here! Zoya has made three holographic colors for their Ornate Collection for Holiday 2012, and let me tell you, they are pretty awesome! Let's see this sparkly goodness.

Blaze is a berry red holographic. The base color is so deep and rich, and the holographic particles really sparkle. This is one of my favorites in the collection, I just love how saturated the base is, and the mix of holo, it is so perfect for the holidays! This is 2 coats.

Aurora is a bright pinkish purple holographic. This one is the most holo of the three, with very dense holographic particles. The purple base of this one is really pretty, I've never seen a holo this color before, and I love it! This is 3 coats.

Storm is a black holographic. The base of the black and the scattered holo particles on this one make it a total winner in my book.  I can’t get enough of it. I love it for now, as well as during the holidays, and really anytime. This is just awesome. Application was a dream, it went on so smooth and was perfect in 2 coats.

Ziv is a vivid gold foil, but there is more to it than it’s foily finish. There are tiny copper flecks in the polish that give it extra radiance, making it one of those polishes that never stops glowing. Absolutely gorgeous. This is 2 coats. 

 

Logan is a gorgeous deep green with a golden foil finish. This baby is super pigmented; it barely required a second coat. Really rich and glowy. The green base has a touch of blue, making it really unique in my collection.

Electra is a silver holographic bar glitter. Personally I’m not the biggest fan of bar glitter, but this is still nice for those of you who are. The glitter is very fine, but at the same time there is a lot of it, so you won’t need 500 coats for this to be opaque, it covers nicely in 3 coats. Very sparkly! (and I know.. there is totally glitter particles on my skin that I noticed when editing pictures. Sorry about that!)

What we have here is an amazing Holiday collection, three holos, two gorgeous foils and a bar glitter, everyone will find at least one thing to love in this collection, if not the whole thing! I am absolutely thrilled with the addition of holos to the Zoya line, as I'm sure a lot of you are too, and hopefully this is just a glimpse of what they have in store for the future with finishes and textures.
