OPI Holland - A Roll in the Hague
Hi there!
First of all, YAY for 400 followers, I'd like to thank each and every one of you for reading and following my blog, I really appreciate it! When I first started this blog I never thought it would turn into what it has today, and all of YOU are to thank!!
Today I am showing you OPI A Roll in the Hague from the Spring 2012 Holland collection. This is an INSANELY bright orange. I'm sure you have all seen this swatched before, so I'm not going to go into any huge detail about it, let's just go right to the photo, shall we?
So.. bright! This is something I would traditionally never go for, I have these preconceived notions in my head that orange is not my color, and though I don't think it is perfect for my skin tone, it's not totally hideous, so that's that.
Formula on this was A+. I only needed two smooth coats for full coverage.
What do you guys think?

Rescue Beauty Lounge Fan Collection - IKB:2012
Hellooo readers!
Today I am showing you a polish that has been really hyped up in the nail community as of late; and let me just tell you, it is so worth the hype. This is Rescue Beauty Lounge IKB: 2012. This is part of the Fan Collection in which I gave a bit of an intro to in this post where I showed you Aqua Lily.
IKB: 2012 was inspired by International Klein Blue, the creator of this polish wanted to bring that color to life in a polish, and she did a great job! Let's look at swatches, and be prepared to drool ;)
Ottlite
Sunlight
Shade
Yep. This is awesome. Freaking amazeballs if you will. What you see in my pictures are two coats of IKB: 2012, I read on various blogs/forums that people were having trouble with the formula on this polish. I don't know if I'm just an expert or what (wink, wink!) but I had absolutely no issues with this. It flowed perfectly on my nails in two coats. I did take Ji's advice from Facebook to complete one hand at a time, and it was fine!
Now.. the bad news. This is currently sold out on the Rescue Beauty site, but it is still available in VERY limited quantities, so if you want it, start stalking Rescue Beauty now on Facebook for the notification when it will be available, and be quick! You really don't want to miss this.
What do you guys think about IKB: 2012? Did you pick this up during pre-order, or were you fast enough to get it when it became available to the general public? If not will you take your chance at scoring a bottle when it is available again? Let me know! :D

Finger Paints - Lemon Sour
Hi there!
Today I am showing you Finger Paints Lemon Sour from the Gumdrops & Lollipops collection for Spring 2012. This is a light pastel yellow that I was kind of afraid to try at first. It has been staring at me from my 'untrieds' bin for over a month, and finally the other day I had the nerve to face my fear of this pastel yellow. I really don't know what I was so afraid of, because this is pretty awesome; check it out!
I was surprised at how easily this applied for being a pastel yellow. I was expecting a streaky, patchy nightmare. What you see above is three coats of Lemon Sour for full coverage. I think this is a really nice color for the time of year, it's very Springy!
Thoughts on this polish? Do you ever put off wearing something because you are worried about the application like I was with Lemon Sour?? Or is it just me?!

Nailventerous Lacquers - Pinkerbell
Hi everyone!
TGIF! I hope everyone has something fun in store for their weekend! Today I am showing you Pinkerbell by NailVenterous, a brand I'm sure most of you are familiar with because it has recently taken the nail polish community by storm with her AMAZING polishes (does the word Floam ring a bell?!) but these polishes are also super hard to get a hold of! This polish magically found its way to me via the same swap that I got Polarized from which I showed you yesterday.
Take a look at this freaking awesome polish that is Pinkerbell:
Gah. I don't even know what to say, the pictures really speak for themselves don't they? The glitter is so different than any other glitter out there, it's not sparkly at all, it's like straight up tiny bits of color. Did I say this was awesome? Yes, I think I did, but it really is, that's the best word I can use to describe it!
Bottom line.. Pinkerbell = Pulverized Willy Wonka.
Also- the formula was nice too, I only needed two coats for full coverage. Yay! You can find this on ninjapolish.com it's sold out right now, but you can sign up to be notified via e-mail when it is re-stocked!
What does everyone think? Are you lucky/quick enough to own this or any other Nailventerous Lacquers?

China Glaze - Polarized
Hey people!
Today I am showing you one of the new China Glaze Prismatic polishes. This is Polarized, I actually got this through a secret swap on one of the polish groups on Facebook that I am in. I am so happy that my partner picked this for me because otherwise I probably wouldn't have purchased it myself, and I ended up LOVING it. Wanna see pictures?
How pretty is this? I absolutely love the larger multi colored glitter in the silver glitter base. So unique!
Shown above are two coats without top coat. I was surprised at how a) easily it applied and b) I only needed two coats for full coverage. I liked how it looked when it dried, it's sparkly yet not super glossy. The finish is bumpy, but I don't really mind, and it is really unlike anything in my stash.
CLEARLY I am loving this, but what about you peeps? Do you own this or any of the other Prismatics?

OPI Amazing Spiderman Collection Swatches & Review
Hi everyone!
Today I am reviewing the new Limited Edition OPI Amazing Spiderman Collection. This collection consists of six limited edition lacquers ranging from 'white, coral and pink to mood-setting hues of blue, nickel and yellow-green' and one new shatter.
I was really excited when I first saw the press release for this collection for a few polishes in particular, and they did not dissapoint! Let's get to the swatches :D
Call Me Gwen-Ever is a really pretty orange leaning coral creme. I am surprised by how much I like this, when I first saw promo pictures this didn't overly thrill me, but I have to say I'm kinda digging it on me. The formula on this one was spectacular, and I only needed two coats.
Your Web or Mine? is a frosty pink. Formula was brush-strokey, so be careful with application. Other than the brush strokes, the polish wasn't too hard to work with, I only needed two coats for full opacity. I like the base color of this, I'm just not a fan of the finish.
My Boyfriend Scales Walls is a white creme with a touch of gray. I really really like this one, its my second favorite in the collection. The grayness in the polish takes it out of chalky/stark white territory, and I think because of that it would look great on many skin tones. The formula on this one was also amazing, I was pleasantly surprised that I only needed two coats.
Into the Night is a bright shimmery metallic blue. It is bright, yet dark at the same time, and the best way I can describe it is 'lit from within'. It's pretty. The first two coats went on a bit sheer and watery, but the third coat evened everything out. You may run into brush strokes when applying this, so be sure to do the two sides of the nail first and finish with the middle to minimize brush strokes.
Just Spotted the Lizard is a gold and green duochrome. I'll say it once and I'll say it again. I love an affordable dupe to an expensive polish. With that said, this is a dupe of Chanel Peridot. Very pretty and interesting color for any collection, and the formula was great too, three easy coats for full coverage.
Number One Nemesis is my absolute favsies in the collection. It is a metallic dark grayish olive green shimmer that is literally jam packed with micro glitter. This is stunning in all lighting, and it's just so fun to look at! It's also a dupe for Chanel Graphite (yay for less expensive dupes to pretty polishes!) Application was a dream, I used three coats to get full coverage, but if you used thicker coats you could probably just do two. Love this one!!
Shatter the Scales is the shatter top coat in the collection (go figure!). This is a dark forest sparkly green shatter, and I found when I was layering this it shattered great over some polishes, and then not so great over others. You will easily be able to spot my 'fails' haha. See my layering combinations below.
Shatter the Scales over Call Me Gwen-Ever
Shatter the Scales over Your Web or Mine?
Shatter the Scales over My Boyfriend Scales Walls
Shatter the Scales over Into the Night
Overall I think this is a nice collection. There is something for everyone in here, but I think it is missing a nice bright red, after all, Spiderman's outfit is partly red, so it would only be fitting to have a red! My top picks are Number One Nemesis and My Boyfriend Scales Walls. I can't tell you the last time I got this excited over a white nail polish, but MBSW does it for me!
If you're still into the shatter trend I think you will like Shatter the Scales it is pretty and very sparkly with top coat (it does dry somewhat matte, so if you want the glossy finish like you see in my pictures, you'll want to add a top coat).
Just Spotted the Lizard and Number One Nemesis may not be super unique because they are Chanel dupes, but they are still super pretty and much easier to find / less expensive to own!
What are you guys thinking about the Amazing Spiderman collection? I'd love to know which ones make your cut! They will be available in May 2012 and will retail for $8.50 each.

Cover Band - Sticks n' Stones
Hello there!
As I said in yesterday's post, I would have a fun layering combination to show you today using Revlon Zealous as the base. This is Sticks n' Stones by Cover Band (a dupe for the extremely hard to find Lynderella Connect the Dots). I was really excited to finally got my hands on this when it was restocked on Ninja Polish because like all Indie brands, it went fast when it was finally available! Enough about that, let's get to the pictures.
I am completely obsessed with this. I love that you can see the white and black glitter against the chartreuse base so well. This polish was pretty thick when I tried it out over a nail wheel, so I added a few drops of thinner to make it easier to apply and it did the trick.
What you see above is just one coat of Sticks n' Stones over Revlon Zealous and I think it covers perfectly! Not too much, not too little.. just AWESOME!
If you like this polish, and have to have it, you can sign up for alerts when it is restocked on Ninja Polish. It retails for $9 and shipping is very reasonable from Ninja Polish.
Whatcha think people?

Revlon - Zealous
Happy Monday!
I hope everyone is starting their week out on a good note :) Today I am showing you a new Revlon polish that I bought over the weekend. *Sidenote: I am searching for the new Sinful Colors Sheer Shimmer collection high and low, so while at Rite Aid over the weekend after failing (again) to find the new SC collection, I decided I still needed to make the trip worthwhile, so I was excited when I spotted Revlon nail polish on sale for BOGO50% off.
I scoured the display, looking for something that would catch my eye, after giving the first few rows a once over, I saw a polish I'd never seen before, or maybe just never paid attention to before? Anyway, this is Revlon - Zealous and it is new for Spring. Check out some swatches below!
All sorts of 'yes'. I love me a good chartreuse, and to make it better, do you see that SHIMMER?! It's so pretty. This is different than your typical yellow, it's green leaning and cool toned, and it's awesome.
Formula was alright. It did take three coats to become opaque, but it wasn't a laboring three coats. When first applying this though be careful of pooling at your cuticles, because it tends to be a bit watery.
Thoughts on Zealous? Make sure you stop by tomorrow for a fun layering combo using this as the base! :D

Rescue Beauty Lounge Fan Collection - Aqua Lily
Hi people!
Today I am showing you a polish that I have been excited about for a REALLY LONG TIME. Like... really. This is Rescue Beauty Lounge Aqua Lily from the Fan Collection. The Fan Collection process started over a year ago, fans submitted their dream nail polish colors to Ji Baek, she then chose 11 submissions that were voted on, the four winners were selected after 48 hours of voting, and from there, the dream polishes came to life.
This one is Aqua Lily, a gorgeous turquoise with pink shimmer. First, let's look at it in the bottle.
Just like the bottle predicted, it's pretty on the nails too! My only complaint is that the pink shimmer is not as visible as you would think, it is definitely still there, but not as 'in your face' as I would like. But it is still super gorgeous, don't get me wrong!
The formula on this one was perfect, as if I even needed to say it. Typical amazing RBL quality and an easy two coater. I wore this one for 4 days, which is unusual for me, I tend to switch my polish almost every day, but I couldn't bring myself to take this one off, it really does need to be seen in person to appreciate the uniqueness.
What do you guys think about Aqua Lily? Did you pick this up from the Fan Collection Pre Order? (I got Halcyon and IKB 2012 so you'll be seeing them soon too!) If you didn't get them during the pre order, don't fret! The collection will be available sometime this week to the public, and they ARE Limited Edition, and I feel like they will go fast, and once they're gone, they're gone forever, so don't miss your chance!

Finger Paints - Blue Raspberry Taffy
Hey there!
Quick post today! I am going to take a minute to show you my manicure from the other day, this is Finger Paints Blue Raspberry Taffy from the Gumdrops & Lollipops collection. This is super insane bright turquioise-y blue. Check it out!
Blue Raspberry Taffy is so bright and pigmented, but with that comes serious staining, so make sure you wear a base coat! :( I guess it's give and take with this polish, but the color payoff is totally worth it. Two coats for the picture above.
What do you guys think about Blue Raspberry Taffy? Yes/No?

OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Colletion Swatches & Review
Hi there!
I am very excited to be reviewing the new OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection today! I remember as a little girl I stood in line at Disney World for what seemed like forever to see Minnie and Mickie and get their autographs. Fun times, well lets take a look at the Minnie Mouse lacquers, shall we? :)
The Color of Minnie is a bright red with pearly shimmer and it is my runner-up in the collection. This baby is super pigmented, and the formula was so smooth! I could have gotten away with just one coat, but I did two for the swatch below. But beware, because this is so pigmented, that means it stains, so be extra careful when applying this and removing this or you'll end up with red skin around your nails!
If You Moust You Moust this is a blue toned dark bubblegum pink. I really like that this isn't a chalky bright pink that we have seen a lot of lately, there is more depth to this, and I think it is really pretty! However when I was swatching this it looked oddly familiar. That's because it is almost an exact dupe for Zoya Shelby. See my comparison on a nail wheel below.
Zoya Shelby - OPI If You Moust You Moust
(Okay so the OPI is a tad bit darker.. but they are SO close!)
(Okay so the OPI is a tad bit darker.. but they are SO close!)
I'm All Ears is my favorite in the collection hands down. I absolutely love this one! It is incredibly bright and sparkly, and it fits perfectly with the Minnie Mouse theme. I think it will look especially great on tanned skin this summer! The formula was also really nice, what you see below is two coats.
Nothin' Mousie bout It is the glitter in the collection. I really like the idea of this polish, I think it is cute and fun, but the formula is a different story. It was such a challenge to get the little hearts on my nails without slopping the glitter base all over everywhere. It was thick and goopy and just.. not fun to apply. But I guess they can't all be total winners, right? For the swatches below I did a 'skittle' mani with all the colors in the collection and black to give you an idea of how it looks over each one.
L-R I'm All Ears, The Color of Minnie, If You Moust You Moust, and Black
My top picks are The Color of Minnie and I'm All Ears. Unfortunately Nothin' Mousie bout It just didn't do it for me. It just made me work too hard. If You Moust You Moust is not the most unique polish in the world, and since it is so close to Shelby I will only be keeping one of them. Which one you ask? The OPI because I love the Pro-Wide brush.
What do you guys think about the Vintage Minnie Mouse colletion? Planning on picking any of these up? If so, I'd love to hear which ones make your cut!
This Limited Edition will be available in June 2012 and will retail for $8.50 each.

Claire's - Candy Shop
Hey there!
Today I am showing you a polish from Claire's called Candy Shop. Many of you probably remember Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop that was released a few months ago in a trio with Happy Birthday and Forget You, well this is a dupe of that, with the SAME name!
I love me an affordable dupe, but really? They couldn't even bother to change the name? Regardless of the name, this is one awesome polish, check it out below!
Party. In. A. Bottle. That's all. :D
I used three coats of Candy Shop for the picture above, and seriously HOW FUN IS THIS?! I love the variety of glitter in the bubblegum pink jelly base, it's just too cute. The formula was a bit thick, but not too problematic. Best part you ask? It's super affordable!
Candy Shop can be found for around $5 at Claire's stores, and their polishes are always BOGO50% so if you're picking this up, make sure you get the deal!

Wet n' Wild - Bow in my Presence
Hi!
Today I am showing you Wet n' Wild Bow in my Presence from the new Be Jeweled collection. I was looking to spruce up my Manipulative mani from yesterday, and this looked like it would be the perfect match! Check out my layering combination below.

Ottlite
Natural Light
I think this looks so magical! Really. I think Bow in my Presence looks awesome over Manipulative, the colors really seem to compliment each other and the glitter in Bow is so pretty!
What do you guys think? Are you liking my layering choice? Does it give you a magical/mermaid-y feel too?!

Matching Mani Monday with Cult Nails Manipulative
Hi there!
Today I am showing you one of the polishes that I bought from the recent $5 Cult sale. This is Manipulative from the new Divas & Drama collection for Summer 2012. Maria said awhile back that she will be releasing a new collection EACH MONTH for like four months or something crazy like that! I'm not exactly sure if it is still the case, but I am pretty excited about it, however.. my bank account isn't, haha.
Anyway most of you probably know that since Cult Nails hit 5,000 likes on Facebook, they held a sale where all polishes and treatments were $5 (pretty sweet deal!) So check out one of the ones I got below!
Also, I am going to try to do this "matching" mani thing every Monday as a theme post, as you can see below my Manipulative mani matches the skirt I'm wearing, I thought it was cute! :D
This is a super pretty polish, and the formula was great. I only needed two coats for the pictures above. I wore that as a full mani with Cult Nails Get it On base coat and Wicket Fast top coat, and I am extremely impressed by both of them so far!
Did you guys get anything during the $5 sale? If so, what did you pick up? Also- thoughts on my matching mani theme idea?

Manipulative is a really pretty light blue toned aqua, to the normal passerby it looks like a creme, I didn't even know there was shimmer in it until I saw it close up, but you can see in the macro shot that there is indeed shimmer!
