Nicole by OPI Celeb-Bitties Kardashian Kolor Minis

Hello!

Yesterday I showed you the Nicole by OPI 'Sophisti-Cuties' set of  Kardashian Kolor minis, and today we are looking at the 'Celeb-Bitties' set. This one has shades of pink and reds perfect for you girly girls out there!

As I did in my post yesterday, I am showing you the colors as a 'skittle mani' and then doing a review of each individual color below. Let's get started!

Wear Something Spar-Kylie is a full coverage medium pink glitter. This polish went on so easily for a glitter, and I only needed two coats. Super pretty!

Sealed With a Kris is a wine red jelly. I had trouble getting this one opaque. I used three coats for my swatch and I think it still could have used another one now that I am looking at pictures. A pretty color, I'm just not a fan of the shimmer.

Kim-pletely In Love is a light pink with blue and green duochrome shimmer. Super pretty and girly color. I used four coats for this swatch because I don't like VNL, but it could be worn with two or three coats if that doesn't bother you.

All Kendall-ed Up is a bright pink creme. I love pinks like this, they are so fun and perfect for this time of year. Formula on this one was awesome, it applied flawlessly in two coats.

Overall this is another cute little collection full of fun girly shades. I think it is great that Nicole by OPI released the most popular Kardashian Kolors in two mini sets for those people who want to try all of them, without buying the full sized bottle.

So what do you guys think? Will you be picking up either set of Kardsahian Kolor Pretty Petites? If so, which one is going on your list, or will you be grabbing both?

Celeb-Bitties
will be available in July 2012 for $10.

Nicole by OPI Sophisti-Cuties Kardashian Kolor Minis

Hi there!

Today I am showing you a set of Nicole by OPI minis called Sophisti-Cuties. This set contains 4 of the original Kardashia Kolors, in cute little mini bottles.

For this review I did a 'skittle mani' showing each of the polishes on a different finger, and I actually really like them all together as one manicure, the colors in this set go great together! Wanna take a look?

Pointer to pinky - Follow Me on Glitter, Hard Kourt Fashionista, Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam, My Empire.. My Rules.

Follow Me on Glitter is a charcoal glitter that is packed with larger orange, pink, blue and green glitter. Very pretty! This one covered great for a glitter, and I only needed two coats.

Hard-Kourt Fashionista is a burgundy brown creme. I am obsessed with this one! I own nothing like it, and I can't wait to wear it this fall. Two flawless coats.

Khloe Had a Little Lam-Lam is a dark teal creme. I will have to compare this one to RBL Teal, OPI Ski Teal We Drop and Essie Go Overboard to see if it is a dupe to one of them, from the bottle it looks like it could be. Still a gorgeous color, two coats.

My Empire.. My Rules is another one of my favorites in this set, it is a dark taupe that has a hint of green to it. Gorgeous! Two coats.

Overall I am totally loving this set. My favorite would have to be Hard-Kourt Fashionista, it is such a classic color, the perfect mix of burgundy and brown. Complete love! I think there is something for everyone in this set of minis.

So what do you guys think about this set? Be sure to stop by tomorrow to see the second set of Kardashian Kolor Pretty Petites!

Sophisti-Cuties will be available in July 2012 for $10.

butter LONDON - Lillibet's Jubilee Swatches & Review

Hi there!

I am super excited to be showing you Lillibet's Jubilee by butter LONDON today. Lillibet's Jubilee is described as 'silvery, lavender metallic foil, heavily infused with glitter'. Let me just tell you, this polish is everything.

Ottlite

Natural light

Where to begin? First, its a gorgeous foil. So insanely unique! Second, the formula was excellent, what you see above is two coats. It dried to perfection with zero brush strokes. I'm head over heels and this has made its way onto my Top 10 favorite polishes of 2012, and possibly #1 favorite foil of all time, I love this!

What do you guys think about Lillibet's Jubilee? Are you planning on picking this up? I strongly suggest you do, because you will not be disappointed!

Lillibet's Jubilee retails for $14 and can be purchased on butterlondon.com  and in fashion boutiques, specialty retailers and beauty apothecaries around the globe.

Essie - She's Picture Perfect

Hello pretty people!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY! I hope everyone is having an awesome day (hopefully not at work/school!). Today I am showing you a new Essie from the Summer 2012 Resort collection. This is called She's Picture Perfect. I purchased this on Bloom.com using the Mother's Day Pampered Chef promotion. (Did anyone else participate in that?) Well anyway, I got a $20 gift card for Bloom and sure enough, this came home to me!

This is such a pretty light lavender with hidden (but not completely invisible!) pink shimmer. This polish is a dream. For those of you who don't know I am a huge sucker for purples, lavenders especially, so this is right up my alley!

Formula was fantastic, I only needed two coats for fill coverage. My only gripe is that I wish the shimmer was more visible, but I'm still totally in love with this.

Does anyone else out there own this? What do you think about it? Don't you hate when you see a bottle of polish that is jam packed with this gorgeous shimmer and then when you apply it, it seems to disappear? Hate it! :P

Essie - Lady Like

Hi there!

HAPPY Saturday! You've made it through another week :). Today I am showing you an Essie that I spotted on sale at Wal-Mart last week. This was in a bin of a bunch of Essies for $3.50 each. You'd be proud of me, I was a good girl and only bought one, and here it is today! This is Lady Like from the Fall 2011 Brand New Bag collection.

I really like this! I remember wanting it when the collection came out, but just never got around to purchasing it, so the fact that I got it on sale is that much sweeter! This color kind of reminds me of Silly Putty, except not near as bright.

Lady Like is darker than some of the ballerina pinks we have seen before like Rescue Beauty Lounge Plie and Jessica Cosmetics Soar. It is unique in my collection and the formula was fab-o!

What do you guys think about Lady Like? Be sure to check out your local Wal-Mart for some good deals on Essie! And have an AWESOME weekend! :D

Jessica Cosmetics Gelato Mio Collection Swatches & Review

Hi there!

Today I am showing you the new Jessica Cosmetics Summer 2012 collection, this collection is called Gelato Mio and is inspired by 'the mouthwatering flavors of Italian ice cream, and the endless possibilities of long summer nights'. This set consists of 6 pastel cremes. Perfect for summer! Ready to take a look?

Barely Blueberry is a really light blue that has a lot of white to it. It is very bright and made my skin really red and kind of freaked my camera out, so take my word that this is a nice light sky blue! 3 coats.

Surfer Boyz n' Berry is a nice light turquoise mint shade. This is in the same ball park as China Glaze For Audrey, but this leans more green. Very pretty, I can never get enough colors like this! 2 coats.

Lime Cooler is a light lime green. This is really pretty, perfect for spring and summer! Formula was great, it covered nicely in 2 coats.

Banana Peel reminds me of butter! It is a warm yellow, and it feels like sunshine on my nails. This one was a bit streaky, requiring 3 coats for coverage, but I like it a lot, I've never seen a yellow quite like this before.

Tangerine Dreamz is a nice light orange. This one reminds me a bit of Zoya Arizona, but TD is more muted. Another one with great formula, 2 coats.

Strawberry Shake It (I love this name!) Is a pale white pink, we've seen this one before so it's not that unique but it is still a nice color for summer. This one applied streaky and thin, but evened out in 3 coats.

Overall I think the polishes in this collection fit perfectly with the theme. They are perfect for Summer and I think there is something in here for everyone. Even if you aren't a huge fan of pastels, there are a few in here that are way more than your typical pastel that I think will pleasantly surprise some of you! :D

Are you ready to find out my favorite? BANANA PEEL! Can you believe it?! A yellow! I am quite surprised myself. But I just love how it looks on me! Runner up would have to be Lime Cooler, it is such a nice take on the typical lime green, and it's easy to wear!

So people, what are your favorites / which ones do you  plan on picking up? I'd love to hear!

The Gelato Mio collection will be available mid June on jessicacosmetics.com and will retail for $7.50/each.

Striped Accent Nail

Hi there!

Today I am showing you some amateur nail art (I'm getting better, I swear!) For this manicure I wanted to do something fun and simple using a few shades of pink. I started using scotch tape but winded up doing it freehand- I didn't want to wait for the polish to dry to use tape, I'm so impatient!

Take a look at my striped accent nail :)

Me likey! I was surprised at how well this turned out, really! If you haven't gathered, I am a huge fan of the accent nail. I think that in this case especially it gives the overall feel of 'just enough'.

For this look I used:
OPI If You Moust You Moust (base pink & middle pink stripe)
Butter London Trout Pout (light pink stripe)
Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Celeb City (silver stripes)

So what does everyone think about my striped accent nail? I am totally loving it, and can't wait to try my hand at simple nail art like this again :D

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Coral

Hello there!

Happy Hump Day! Half way to the weekend, woo! What do you have on your nails today? I am showing you a core Rescue Beauty Lounge color, this is Coral. And let me just tell you, it is perfect in every single way.

This color is part of the core collection because Ji has said that there is no way that she could improve upon what it already is, and I have to agree! Ready for swatches?

So juicy. I love everything about this. I'm so glad that it is core, because I never have to worry about being without Coral. Formula was excellent of course, it practically applied itself in two coats.

Thoughts on Coral? What is your favorite coral polish of all time? I think I have a new favorite! :)

China Glaze - Prism

Hi there!

Today I am showing you China Glaze Prism from the Prismatics Collection. This is a super dense glitter - like a party in a bottle! It does have a duochrome flash but I had a hard time capturing that in a picture. Let's see them anyway!

I love these dense glitters that are coming out lately, very cool! This covered easily in two coats, and though it dried gritty, I liked how it made the polish look, and decided to not even try to make it look glossy with tons of layers of top coat.

Removal was SUCH a pain.. glitter everywhere. But I think it's safe to say that Prism is worth it :)

What do you guys think about Prism or the other China Glaze Prismatics, or dense/3D glitters in general?

Deborah Lippmann - Glamorous Life

Howdy!

I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! Today we are looking at Deborah Lippmann Glamorous Life. This polish was inspired by a rose gold Rolex watch and apparently took three years to complete.

First, if you don't know this about me; I really like rose gold! Orly Rage is one of my all time fave polishes (please excuse the awkward nail length and horrible picture). So when I saw this on sale during the latest Deborah Lippmann / Good Morning America sale, it had to be mine!

I had really high hopes for this polish and unfortunately it didn't live up to them. I love the idea of Glamorous Life, but it's just not for me. You have to be super careful when applying or else you'll wind up with a brush-strokey nightmare, and usually I can deal with a metallic frost finish like this, but the color doesn't really work for me either. What a BUMMER!

Bottom line, I'm glad I only spent around $6 on this, because had I paid full price I would have been even more disappointed. I'm going to keep it for now and give it another shot in a few months and maybe it will work better then. Who knows!?

Thoughts on Glamorous Life? Do you own this? If so.. what are the secrets to making it look good?! :D

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Drifter

Hey there!

The weekend is here, people! Is anyone doing anything super fun? My twin sister is home from Maryland, and we are going to a graduation party, woo!

Today I am showing you an oldie but such a goodie. This is Drifter by Rescue Beauty Lounge. This polish is long sold out, and I had given up on ever trying to find it. When miraculously by chance it kind of fell in my lap. You can imagine my excitement over finally owning this, so without further ado, I bring you the gorgeous Drifter.

It's perfect in every way. Every. Single. Way. Drifter  is more purple than my pictures would make you believe. It is not your typical wine red. It's complex, deep and mysterious. It's amazing. Can you tell that I am completely head over heels?!

Yay for finally owning this, and for it living up to my expectations and then some! What does everyone think? What is your #1 favorite vampy wine red? Tell me, people!
