Barielle Some Like It Hot Collection Swatches & Review
Hey readers!
Today I am showing you a 5 piece collection from Barielle called Some Like It Hot. This collection consists of bright and bold colors, perfect for summer! Let's get started, shall we?
Gotta Have Fate is a coral creme that has hints of orange. Very juicy looking. Two coats.
Life of the Party is your standard fuchsia pink creme. It is still nice, though I feel not too original. Two coats.
Sunshine is a yellow creme with fine silver shimmer. The shimmer hides on the nail but comes out to play in direct sunlight, (what do ya know, it's named SUNSHINE after all!). Formula on this was a tad bit streaky, I needed three coats.
Lily of the Valley is a bright kelley green with ribbons of green shimmer. Formula was a bit watery to begin with, but it was perfect in three coats.
Surf's Up is this insane bright yet deep blue creme. Unlike any other blue creme in my collection, and that is saying something! However this stains terribly so be sure to double up on your base coat and be very careful with removal. Formula was nice though, I barely needed a second coat.
I included a sunlight picture to show the intensity of Surf's Up
Overall this is a nice set from Barielle, though some of the colors are not all that unique, there are some great staple cremes with great formula in here that are perfect for this season.
I love the nice rainbow of colors that we have going on in this set too, I think a skittle mani would look fab! That's on my list to try, definitely :)
So, that's all for today. What do you think about the Some Like it Hot set? This can be purchased as a set on barielle.com for $25, or individually for $8/ea and they seem to always be running a BOGO 1/2 off deal.

I have some exciting news and info from OPI to show you! Below are press releases for their Fall/Winter 2012 Germany Collection, two new OPI Designer Series Shades for Fall 2012 and five new Nicole by OPI Target exclusive shades for Fall 2012. Who is excited about these collections? *Raises hand* I know I am!
OPI Launches the Germany Collection for Fall/Winter 2012
OPI embraces runway trends with the Germany Collection for Fall/Winter 2012. Drawing inspiration from Berlin, an exciting new fashion hub that blends classic looks with the avant-garde, the collection’s twelve shades offer a mixture of vibrant color, urban-chic neutrals, and reds in variations from light to dark.
“Designers showcased rich colors and striking textures for fall,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “The Germany Collection beautifully complements these looks, with standout shades in various hues of red and burgundy – the season’s ‘new black.’ Sapphire, black olive and lime yellow are married with creamy neutrals in honey, taupe and nude rose.”
“The overall feel of the Germany Collection is elegance with an edge,” adds Suzi. “The varied palette of colors adds another accent to the list of special touches – think beadwork, paneling, fur and embroidery – that walked the runways during New York Fashion Week. Wearing these shades on fingers and toes is a great way to accessorize a range of looks for the season.”
Germany by OPI includes the following shades:
Don’t Pretzel My Buttons A haute honey-beige that can always make you smile.
My Very First Knockwurst…and what a magical rosy-nude rendezvous it was!
Berlin There Done That A traveling taupe that’s seen it all. (Yep, that too).

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue
Hey people!
How is everyone? I am getting ready and super psyched for my beach trip next week! Today I'm showing you a polish that I have seen a million times, but always passed up. Until recently that is. I decided that I *needed* this after seeing a few swatches online. Luckily it was very easy to find, and here it is on my nails! I now give you Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Pacific Blue.
Look how bright this is! It is a crazy intense and pigmented cornflower blue. I am completely obsessed with this. I couldn't stop staring at my nails, so gorgeous! The formula on this was also really nice, I only needed two coats.
How does everyone feel about Pacific Blue? Do you own this? If not, will you be running out to buy this ASAP? :D

NYC Sparkle Top Coat - Big City Dazzle
Hi!
I have something new from NYC Cosmetics to show you today! This is a new Sparkle Top Coat in Big City Dazzle. This top coat can be added over any polish to give it a sparkly effect.
Pretty, right? This glitter is very sparse, and consists of red, blue, pink, silver and purple tiny glitters in a clear base. I like how subtle this is, and I think it would look really nice over a red or blue. For this look I layered it over RBL Smitten.
Are you looking for a little touch of subtle sparkle to add to your mani? Then check out this new Sparkle Top Coat, it will do just the trick!

Nails Inc Sprinkles Effects - Pudding Lane
Hey hey hey!
Today I have another totally AWESOME Nails Inc Sprinkles Effects polish to show you. This is Pudding Lane. It is a turquoise blue base with dark blue, light green and silver glitter sandwiched in the base to give a 'cupcake topping effect' according to Nails Inc!
I love this so much! What you see above is two coats for full coverage, I had absolutely no issues with application, it went on perfectly.
I can't get over how much I am loving this little collection. I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a nail polish collection. It's been awhile, and Nails Inc hit the spot for me with these Sprinkles Effects polishes.
What are you ladies thinking about Pudding Lane? Gotta have it? Or are you gonna pass on these? I got mine on sephora.com for $9.50.

Pomegranate Lacquer Swatches & Review!
Hello there!
I am really excited about today's post! I recently had the opportunity to try a new brand called Pomegranate Lacquer - who doesn't love a great new brand?! Pomegranate Lacquer offers a wide range of fun colors, and they are big 3 free, woo hoo! Today I am showing you two of their polishes.
I Tap on Apps is a light blue with fine silver shimmer. The base of ITOA is darker and more blue than the blues we saw last spring (i.e. China Glaze Sea Spray) and the shimmer is so pretty in the sunlight! Formula was a bit thin, but after three coats I had a perfect finish.
Mermaid's Tail is a mint green with large gold shimmer flecks. In the bottle this one is a total stunner, however on the nail the shimmer is not quite as visible. The formula on Mermaid's Tail was great, I almost got away with one coat, I couldn't believe it was that pigmented! But there were a few patches, so two coats is what you see here.
First let me comment on this bottle, it is so cute! There is an outline of a pomegranate on the front of it, with little stars, very original! The caps and brushes were also really nice on these. Bonus: The bottles are .56 fl oz. (OPI is .50 fl oz for reference) so you are getting more polish!
I really like what I see from Pomegranate Lacquer so far. I think these two polishes are very pretty and different and I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeve in the future!
These retail for $9/each and can be purchased at pomegranatelacquer.com also, be sure to like Pomegranate Lacquer on Facebook!

I'm smitten with Smitten!
Good day, dear readers!
Today is all about a pink neutral from Rescue Beauty Lounge called Smitten. As the post title would lead you to think, I am in fact smitten with Smitten. This is a grown up version of bubblegum pink. Would you like to take a look?
This is so easy to wear. It is just enough color for the nails, without being overly bright or in your face. Application was smooth, it took three coats for full coverage, and it leveled out really nicely.
What does everyone think about Smitten? The last time I heard, this was running low, and it is limited edition, so if you are liking Smitten head on over to rescuebeauty.com and buy yourself a bottle- you deserve it!

Maiden Voyage: Striping Tape
Hello!
As the title of this post says, this is about my first time using striping tape! I figured that being a newbie and all, I should start out with something pretty easy. Which led me to this diamond design as an accent nail.
I can't wait to play more with my new striping tape (which I purchased on ebay for around $2 for 10 rolls including shipping). I love this design and the overall look itself. The color choices and alternating nails gives it a super modern look, and I can't get enough!
For this look I used:
OPI - Fly
Wet n' Wild - Black Creme
What do you guys think about my first striping tape adventure? Have any designs in mind for me to try?

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Jack
Hey!
I have shown you a few of the Rescue Beauty Lounge GOMM polishes in the past week or two, and today I have another one for you. This is Jack, which is a deep green turquoise base with bright blue shimmer. Sounds interesting/amazing right? Take a look and you'll see just how amazing this is!
Ottlite
Sunlight
Macro
*Contended sigh* This is so different than anything I have, what a refreshing feeling that is! Jack is so complex and just perfect. If you like teals then you need this in your collection. The formula on this one was awesome, two quick and easy coats for a flawless finish!
So.. thoughts on Jack? Thoughts on that incredible blue shimmer?! Is your mind blown like mine was when I first saw this?

Zoya Fall NYFW 2012 Gloss Collection Swatches & Review
Hi there!
Today I have the third and final set from the Zoya Fall NYFW 2012 Collection. This is the Gloss collection, which consists of three buildable jellies. I was really looking forward to trying these out- so here they are!
Katherine is a dark plum jelly. Another really interesting color as a jelly, go Zoya! Katherine was originally released in the Peter Som Limited Edition boxed collection, and now it's back for this fall. This is a really nice color, but again, at four coats you can still see VNL, so I will no doubt be layering this up in the future!
Paloma is my favorite! It is the prettiest bright pink jelly, with awesome formula. I only needed three coats for a squishy, opaque finish. I just love this one, it's so sassy!
Overall I am really liking how Zoya did a set of jellies for this fall in addition to their creme and metallic collections. Jellies are always so fun to layer, and for you ladies who don't mind VNL, they will look fab on their own. I love the color of Frida so much, I just wish it weren't so sheer. :(
So, now that you have seen all three parts of the Zoya Fall collection, which ones will you be picking up, and which ones are you passing on? Are you a fan of these buildable jellies? Tell me your thoughts!
These are available on zoya.com and retail for $8/each.

Zoya Fall NYFW 2012 Diva Collection Swatches & Review
Hola!
As promised in yesterday's post, today I am sharing with you the Zoya Fall NYFW 2012 Diva Collection. This part of the collection consists of shimmers, metallics and foils. Ready, set, swatches!
Elisa is a cherry red with fine metallic shimmer. This one is super bright and cheerful, very pretty too! 2 coats.
Suri is a bright purple with fine metallic shimmer. This has the same idea as Elisa, except that it is purple! There are multi colored bits of shimmer in this, enlarge the picture to see it better. 2 coats.
Song is a bright royal blue with blue sparkles. Don't even get me started on this, because I can't stop! This seriously gives my favorite blue a run for it's money. This is so pretty, and it just sparkles non stop. I love it. 2 coats.
Ray is an evergreen base with fine metallic shimmer. This is not my personal favorite, but I'm sure other people will like it. Colors like this remind me of trees and woods, and I am not outdoors-y at all, so maybe that's my deal. Anyway, the formula was a bit watery on the first coat, but built up nicely at 2 coats.
FeiFei is a light blue foil with heavy gold and a bit of pink shimmer. This one has to be seen in person to understand the depth and beauty. It is super gorgeous and really unique, Zoya hit it out of the ballpark with FeiFei. It is a bit more sheer than the rest of the colors in the collection, but it was perfect in 3 coats.
Daul is a violet foil with heavy gold shimmer. This is very pretty and feminine, and very shimmery! Like FeiFei it took 3 coats for full coverage.
Another great Fall set from Zoya! My favorites from this set are Song and FeiFei. I seriously can't get enough of Song, but can you blame me?! I think between the Diva and Designer collections there really is something for everyone between the variety of finishes and colors.
The Zoya Fall NYFW 2012 Collection is now available on zoya.com for $8/each.
So, thoughts on the Diva collection? Which are your favorites? Check back tomorrow for the Gloss collection!
