Barielle Dazzling Diamonds Collection Swatches & Review

Hello!

I have a set of glitters from Barielle to show you today. This set is called Dazzling Diamonds and it consists of five glitter finish polishes, a few are suited for layering and some can be worn on their own. Are you ready to see this sparkling set?

Cherry Blossom Sparkler is a bright pink glitter in a sheer red jelly base. This one is shown on its own after 2 coats. Very sparkly and pretty.

Pink Diamond is a rose pink glitter in a clear base. The glitter in this one is really dense which made application easy. Formula was kind of thick, but that is expected from glitters like this. What you see below is 2 coats.

Purple Hearts is a clear base with bright purple and silver hex glitter and small purple and silver glitter. This one is layered over LVX Livid. I like this combo, and I think I have to try it over a purple next!

Ebony Rainbow is a clear base with sparse multi colored glitter. If the glitter were larger and more dense it would remind me of OPI Mad as a Hatter. This is 2 coats of Ebony Rainbow over Rimmel Grey Matter.

Stardust is a very sheer cloudy base with tiny blue, green and white iridescent glitter. The glitter in this is not as dense as Cherry Blossom Sparkler, but more so than Ebony Rainbow. Somewhere in the middle :) This is 2 coats over Sally Hansen Thinking of Blue.

So that's all! I like this set of glitters, there is a little bit of something for everyone and the formula was good throughout the collection. I am excited to play with these and try different layering options!

Do you have any ideas for layering with these? Which one was your favorite? I'd love to hear!

The Barielle Dazzling Diamonds collection can be purchased on barielle.com and retails for $25.

butter LONDON - No More Waity, Katie

Hello!

Here is a polish that I have been looking at for awhile, and just never got around to purchasing. I actually ended up swapping for this a few weeks ago, and now here it is. This is Butter London No More Waity, Katie.

I layered this over two coats of Zoya Caitlin because the base of No More Waity, Katie is somewhat sheer, and I didn't have time to wait for multiple coats of glitter to dry. However, I am totally LOVING this polish. I don't know what took me so long to get this, but I am so glad that I have it now, its gorgeous! The dense purple glitter in the smokey purple base = perfection!

Thoughts on No More Waity, Katie? I'm sure if you liked this however many months ago when it came out, that you probably already own this (and didn't wait forever like I did!) but tell me what you think anyway!

Takko Lacquer - Kiss The Sky

Hello!

I am super duper excited about the polish that I'm showing you today. This is an indie by Takko Lacquer called Kiss The Sky. This is an incredibly gorgeous purple with pink and gold duochrome shimmer that shifts green under low light.
I showed Kiss The Sky in a few different lighting situations, though I couldn't capture the green shift, you can still see how amazing this is in all lighting. I am going to stop talking about this now so you can see the pretty pictures!

Sunlight

Natural light

Ottlite

I die. Obsession is an understatement. I could not stop starting at my nails while wearing this, it was so distracting!  Shown above is 2 coats of Kiss The Sky. The formula was perfect. Everything about this is perfect, who am I kidding?!

Are you totally loving Kiss The Sky like I am? Any plans on picking up any Takko Lacquers?

Takko Lacquers are sold in their Etsy shop. It looks like their shop is closed at the moment, but you can sign up to be notified via e-mail when they re open.

Jessica Fall 2012 Spicy Dream Collection Swatches & Review

Hi there!

I have a gorgeous fall collection to show you today! This is Jessica Cosmetics Spicy Dream; a cohesive collection of browns and reds that remind me of autumn leaves.

Crimson Tattoo is a super dark maroon jelly that is nearly black. This dries with a high shine and the formula was really easy to work with, shown below is 2 coats.

Brown Sugar is a medium brown with silver shimmer. I was pleased how the shimmer was visible indoors instead of just in the sun like some shimmers tend to be. This is an interesting take on brown! This was 2 coats.

Cinnamon Kiss is a metallic blackened red. This is so shimmery and vampy. Though I still have to do a comparison, I have heard that this is very similar to OPI Germanicure by OPI from their fall collection. With that said, this is still one gorgeous polish. 2 coats.

Champagne Bubbles is a silver foil with flecks of gold and copper. This one is so interesting! The formula was a bit thick, giving it a bumpy finish, but that's nothing that a top coat can't fix! This applied easily in 2 coats. I love how sparkly this is.

Gingersnap is a golden rust orange foil with red, gold, brown, green and pink shimmer. This is insane! It is so shimmery and the color is just perfect for fall. Gingersnap never stops sparkling, I love this one, could you tell? This is 3 coats.

Pumpkin Delight is a deep orangey red foil with gold, brown, pink and orange shimmer. This has the same thing going on as Gingersnap, just a different color. I am so impressed by this- easily my favorite in this collection. I own nothing like it, it's just so pretty and different! 3 coats.

Wow! Overall I think this is one awesome collection for fall. I can't say a bad thing about any of these polishes. They are all really pretty, some more unique than others (hello Gingersnap & Pumpkin Delight!) But each is gorgeous in it's own way.
I think this may be my favorite entire collection for fall. I love how the colors go so well together. There really is something for everyone in here, and I don't think any of you would be disappointed by these!

What do you think of the Spicy Dream collection by Jessica? Which ones are your favorites?

This collection is available on jessicacosmetics.com and retails for $7.50 each.

butter LONDON Autumn/Winter 2012 Trustafarian & Lovely Jubbly Swatches and Review

Hi there!

I have two polishes from the new butter LONDON Autumn/Winter 2012 collection to show you today. The two I have are Trustafarian and Lovely Jubbly. A holo (did you hear that?!) and a glitter. Let's check them out!

Trustafarian is a celery green holo. The holo effect on this is subtle, but so so pretty. In the sun this baby really comes to life and gets all rainbow-y.  Love it! Application was smooth and the formula was really nice to work with. What you see below is 3 easy coats.

Lovely Jubbly is a pink, blue, gold and red glitter. This is a total party on the nail! You could layer this one, I'm thinking it would look great over pink or purple, or you could wear it on its own like I did here. This wasn't overly thick like some glitters can be, and it flowed on the nail nicely. Shown below is 3 coats.

Overall I am really loving both of these, but maybe Trustafarian a bit more than Lovely Jubbly, I am a sucker for holos! I am happy that butter LONDON decided to do a few bright and sparkly colors for Autumm/Winter, it is a nice change up from the endless vamps that we see for this season!

Which of these is your favorite? Or is it a toss up between both? Let me know what you think!

These are available now on butterlondon.com ulta.com and sephora.com and retail for $14 each.

Shopping in my Stash: OPI Designer..De Better!

Hey!

I'm showing you one of my favorite polishes today, this is OPI Designer..De Better from the Muppet collection that came out last holiday season. I was recently organizing pictures and came across ones of this polish and immediately pulled it out of my Helmer and put it on.

For starters, it is a foil finish, which is one of my favorite finishes, and then the copper flakes just add this level of uniqueness that I'm just obsessed with. I love it.
Sometimes I feel like my collection is so huge that I don't have enough hands, or time to show each polish the love that they deserve. So I am glad that Designer.. De Better got some love today, because it SO deserves it!

Do you sometimes feel like I do about not being able to use your favorites because there are tons of other polishes vying for your attention? Am I the only one?! :D

Rescue Beauty Lounge - Bella

Hello readers!

I have a pretty polish to show you from Rescue Beauty Lounge today, this is Bella from the GOMM collection. Bella is a porcelain white that is perfect in three coats.
This is one that I was on the fence about pre ordering, but I am so glad that I did because it ended up being one of my favorites of the collection. Take a look!

So pretty and shiny! This is a white that is very wearable and I think it would flatter many skin tones. I was surprised with the formula on this, it was perfect and non streaky in 3 coats.  I felt so elegant wearing Bella!

Do you like Bella? What is your favorite neutral polish to wear?

Bella is limited edition and available on rescuebeauty.com.

Sephora by OPI - Seriously It's a Naan-Issue

Hi there!

I have another Sephora by OPI polish to show you today. This is Seriously It's a Naan-Issue from the Indian Summer collection. First of all, how good is that name?

Seriously It's Naan-Issue is a blue toned purple creme. This is different than all the other dark purples in my collection, and what makes it different is that it falls into the blurple category, but pulling more purple than blue. A complex color, and very pretty! This was perfect in 2 coats.

Overall I think this is a really pretty purple creme. The brush on this is like the OPI Pro Wide brush which made for a very easy application. I am very pleased with this!

Do you like Seriously It's a Naan-Issue? What is your favorite purple polish?

butter LONDON Lippy Autumn/Winter 2012 Swatches & Review

Hello readers!

Today I am doing a review on two of the new butter LONDON Lippys for Autumn/Winter 2012 and the matching nail lacquers. The two I have are Queen Vic and Tea with the Queen. Shall we get started?
*Note - for the Lippy swatches I layered one coat of Lippy over a moisturizing lip balm, I have found that they cover more evenly when layered.

First I have swatches of the two lippys so you can see how they look on my skin tone.
Queen Vic, Tea with the Queen

Queen Vic Lippy is a berry magenta. Butter LONDON describes it as 'red wine meets cranberry. Fit for a Queen'. This is a nice bright pop of color on the lips and it went on smoothly. This isn't a color I would wear every day, but it would be really fun to wear for a night out.
Queen Vic Lacquer is a deep berry creme with a super shiny finish, almost jelly like. This is a bit darker than the matching Lippy, but the pink tones in both match perfectly. This is a very feminine shade, and lovely for fall. This is 3 coats.

Tea with the Queen Lippy is a pinkish nude 'exceptional for work, or obviously, tea with the Queen' as butter LONDON describes. I'd have to agree, I have been wearing this to work all week and I absolutely love it. It goes really well with my skin tone, giving my lips just a hint of color and a glossy shine. This applied nicely and stayed on for about 3 hours.

Tea with the Queen Lacquer is, like the Lippy, a pinkish nude creme. This leans more peachy than the matching Lippy, with a hint of brown. A very pretty neutral with a high shine finish. The first coat went on sheer but after 3 coats it was perfect.

Overall I am really pleased with these new Lippy's from butter LONDON. I can tell you now that I will be wearing Tea with the Queen over and over and over again. It is a total win for me, and for you ladies who don't want bold bright lips, but still want a hint of color, Tea with the Queen is perfect.

Do you like these new Lippy's from butter LONDON? Are you a fan of the matching tips and lips look? I'd love to know your thoughts!

Lippy's are available now on butterlondon.com and ulta.com and retail for $17 each.

Sephora by OPI - I'm So Sari!

Hello!

Today I have a very pretty Sephora by OPI polish to show you. This is I'm So Sari! from the Indian Summer collection that was just released for Summer 2012.

I'm So Sari! is a turquoise glitter with larger round holographic glitter dispersed throughout which makes for a non stop sparkle fest. The formula on this was great, it covered perfectly in 3 coats.

So so so pretty! This is my first Sephora by OPI polish, and I tickled with it. The brush is wide and flat like the OPI Pro Wide brush which makes application a breeze. I just love everything about this polish!

Well, what do you think about I'm So Sari! What are some other Sephora by OPI polishes that I must try?

Deborah Lippmann - Funky Chunky

Hola!

I am so excited about today's polish. This is something I have been searching for (kind of) for about a year. When I say kind of searching, I mean casually looking on Make Up Alley, perusing blog sales and ebay here and there. So I wasn't too intense with my search, but my want was still there nonetheless!  Well needless to say I finally found this on MUA and swapped for it. Now it's mine!
This is Deborah Lippmann Funky Chunky. It came out in a boxed set for Lippmann's 10th anniversary. It is a black jelly polish with large black hex glitter.

I layered one coat of FC over two coats of Wet n' Wild Black Creme for a super fun finish. Since the base of this polish is pretty sheer, rather than using two or three coats for coverage, layering it was my best option. I really like how this looks! My only problem was that I had to wait a while for this to dry, because adding a top coat would ruin the texture of the glitter sticking up out of the black base.

What's everyone think about Funky Chunky? Do you like the black on black texture? What is your favorite Deborah Lippmann Polish?
