China Glaze Avant Garden Collection for Spring 2013 Swatches & Review

Hey readers!

Check it out - today I have part of the China Glaze Avant Garden Collection to show you! From what I have here, there are some really pretty polishes in soft springy colors. Who is ready for some nice weather? ME! This set makes me so excited to break out flip flops and shorts, I'm ready to not freeze to death every day!! :P

Also- today's review is the first time I have used my brand new lightbox! I got a LS Photo Pro Studio Lightbox, and I am extremely pleased with the results, let me know what you think!

Fade into Hue is a soft periwinkle creme. This went on so smooth, and I love the color with my skin tone. No formula issues at all, this is three thin coats.

Keep Calm, Paint On is a very light mint green with subtle pearly silver shimmer. The shimmer is kind of hard to see in my pictures (I'm still learning the settings on my lightbox!) but enlarge the pictures to get a better view. Unfortunately this one gave me lobster hands :( however it went on nicely in two coats.

Snap My Dragon is a gorgeous coral red metallic with pink shimmer. So pretty, and very vibrant, I can't wait to wear this on my toes with sandals and a tan- it will be perfect! This is two coats, though I almost got away with one, it's that saturated!

Life is Rosy is a duty mauve creme. An unexpected love for me! When I saw this in the bottle I didn't even give it a second look, but I am actually really liking it on. Formula again was fabulous, this is two coats.

Pink-ie Promise is a soft pink with hidden pink shimmer running throughout it. I'm sure the shimmer would be more visible in the sunlight, but because it's February and where I live it gets dark very early, that didn't happen. Enlarge the pictures for a better look! This is very feminine, I like it! Shown is two coats.

Fancy Pants is an insane purple/blue with bright pink shimmer. Obviously I saved the best one for last. This is super gorgeous and unique to anything I currently own, or anything I've ever seen. The combo of the base color and shimmer just works so well together. Way to go China Glaze! This is two coats of perfection. My hands down favorite in the set!

So everyone, what do you think about the polishes that I showed you from the China Glaze Avant Garden Collection? Any must haves here? (Besides Fancy Pants, I'm telling you - you need that in your life). Who else is ready for Spring, I wanna see a raise of hands, haha!

Consensus on my lightbox? My pictures are so much more color accurate, I am just totally impressed, I'm glad I made the investment! I will post pictures of the lightbox in another post soon :D

The Avant Garden Collection will be available March 2013.

  5. I swear you can make any nail polish look great!
There are a few colours here that I wouldn't usually think about buying just from looking at the bottle (Fade Into Hue, Fancy Pants) but your swatches are tempting me.

Life is Rosy is probably my favourite.
